Assistant/Associate Professor of Management-Supply Chain Management

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Management in the David W. Wilson College of Business seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Management, starting August 2025. A successful Associate Professor candidate will be awarded the Hamilton/ESP Professorship in International Supply Chain and Logistics Management. Primary teaching responsibilities will be a variety of courses that support the Supply Chain major, including Operations Management, Global Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Modeling and Analytics, Supply Chain and Purchasing, and Six Sigma and Lean Consulting Methodology at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The department is open to candidates with a variety of research agendas, areas of specialization, and methodological approaches. In-person, on-campus teaching and regular office hours are required. Depending on demand and expertise, teaching responsibilities may include a limited number of online courses. Applicants seeking a balance in teaching/research responsibilities will find a collegial work environment and a faculty actively engaged and committed to the growth and continuous improvement of the majors in the Management Department. Required Qualifications:
Assistant Professor of Management: Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or a related field from an AACSB-accredited doctoral program required. ABDs are welcome to apply with an expected degree completion date by August 1, 2025. A record of excellence in teaching with evidence of a student-focused approach; demonstrated ability to produce publishable research that provides insights into issues critical for decision-makers; demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; and recognition as an enterprising and effective member of a collaborative team also required.
 
Associate Professor of Management: Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or a related field from an AACSB-accredited doctoral program required. A record of excellence in teaching with evidence of a student-focused approach; at least six (6) years of experience as a faculty member, preferably having achieved the rank of associate professor; a substantial record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications that provide insights into issues critical for decision-makers; demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; recognition as an enterprising and effective member of a collaborative team, and a record of leadership accomplishments appropriate for the rank of associate professor also required.
 
Preferred Qualifications: Relevant business experience and experience teaching with or using SCM tools and technologies, including data analytics and artificial intelligence preferred.
