About Us

The Waterloo Schools Foundation is a nonprofit organization that aims to support, enhance, and promote educational opportunities for the 11,000+ students in the Waterloo Community School District. Our vision is to be a long-term catalyst for educational excellence and pride in the Waterloo Schools. We strive to provide financial support for innovative educational projects that go beyond what tax dollars can provide. in the past 12 years, we have invested 1.9 million dollars into the WCSD!

Our main funding streams include the following:

Young Scholars Grants - student funding to pursue academic interests or experiences
Innovative Learning Grants - outcome based teacher grants
District Initiatives - large scale projects with the possibility to impact learning district-wide
