About Us

Since 1979, REM Iowa has provided quality services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other complex challenges. As part of The Mentor Network, we provide a range of programs, including residential services and day and vocational programs. Our personalized approach maximizes each person’s unique efforts to learn, grow and thrive in the communities they call home. In 2021, we look to bring our Host Home Program to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. Our Host Home Mentors, open their hearts and homes to individuals in need, allowing individuals to grow, learn and achieve in a more natural home setting. Thus allowing our Mentors the opportunity to earn an income from home while making a difference in the life of others.
