Since Hawkeye opened its doors in 1966, it has focused on meeting the needs of the community, providing quality, affordable training for learners at all stages of life. First opened as Hawkeye Institute of Technology, today Hawkeye Community College serves more than 25,000 individuals and awards almost 1,500 diplomas and degrees annually. Hawkeye has a community impact of $106 million and 1,400 jobs. Since 1966, the college has graduated more than 50,000 students, with 94 percent staying in Iowa.
Mount Mercy University offers accelerated bachelor programs in Accounting, Applied Management, Business, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing and Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Strategic Leadership (MSL) graduate programs. Multiple Graduate Certificates are also offered in a variety of areas including Human Resources, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Remote & Virtual Workforce, and Leading People & Organizations.
Mount Mercy offers 5- to 10-week courses, one class at a time, to help working professionals balance their professional commitments and personal responsibilities while pursuing their education. With nine starting blocks each year, students can begin classes whenever it works for their schedule. Although located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, classes are conveniently offered in various delivery methods including online, in person, virtual seminar, and blended.
