HR/Administrative Coordinator

Job Description
We are looking to hire a HR/Administrative Coordinator at our main office located in the Cedar Falls Industrial & Technolgy Park. The ideal candidate not only must be detailed oriented to understand daily administrative practices and principles, but also must demonstrate exceptional communication and engagement abilities as a point of contact for customers, vendors and employees. Having a hard working mindset will be helpful while multi-tasking and meeting deadlines. Your creative and outgoing personality will be useful as we continue to grow our employee ownership brand.

In this position, you will play a key role in streamlining our company's workflow as the link between various departments, employees, and vendors. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized front office, coordinating various human resource functions, managing numerous engagement responsibilities, and other office responsibilities as assigned. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter that is adaptable to change and have the ability to collaborate with others. We are looking for a candidate that can wear multiple hats and have the ability and desire to help others to succeed. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for the HR/Administrative Coordinator position:
HR related duties (50%)
o Serve as benefits administrator and maintain records and notifications to assure accuracy and compliance
o Be point person for onboarding new employees and off boarding departing employees
o Maintain documents and relations with benefit vendors
o Coordinate employee benefit and policy related requests

Employee engagement duties (25%)

o Build positive relations with employees by being involved in various committees to promote employee engagement, employer brand, employee ownership, wellness, and The DISTek Way
o Plan company events (quarterly meetings, holiday/summer events, team meetings and activities)
o Coordinate employee recognition program

Office Responsibilities (25%)
o Lead customer relations duties (answer phone, greet visitors, assist with meetings/training needs)
o Supervise and manag e the office and team needs at our various locations
o Provide executive assistant support for senior staff and managers
o Assist the VP of Infrastructure with office maintenance tasks and responsibilities
o Coordinate travel arrangements for employees

All other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required skills and qualifications:
. Tech savvy with advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) experience
. Proven track record for providing exceptional customer service
. Excellent written and oral communication skills
. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with company documents

Preferred skills and qualifications:
. Two-year associates degree in business or related field of study or equivalent work experience
. 2+ years' experience serving in a customer service/relations role
. Self-starter, professional, demonstrates initiative
. Experience working with company benefits, policy administration and/or other HR related tasks
. Proven ability to multi-task

Other desired skills and qualifications:
. 4 year business related degree (i.e. management/HR/Admin, PR, communications)
. Strong mult i-tasking and decision making skills
. Event planning experience
