Job Description
The paraeducator position is either instructional or delivers other direct or indirect services to children, youth, and/or their parents or guardians. The position supports: the creation of a safe, positive teaching and learning environment; student development in the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, behavioral domains; nurturance of positive productive relationships; integration of technology to support student learning; and exposure of students to ethical and professional role models. 

Duties are performed under the direction of teachers or other licensed staff. Specific activities and responsibilities vary considerably among several types of para educator assignment.  Please see attached job description.  This opening requires paraeducators must have completed one of the following: 
  • Two years of post secondary education (i.e., 60 undergraduate credits)**
  • Associates (or higher) degree*
  • Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
**Preferred in the field of Early Childhood Developments. 

Requirements also include excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with staff and students, patience, empathy and basic use of a personal computer, drug screen, background check, and completion of orientation materials

Estimated weekly hours:  27.50 hours or 5.5 hours daily
Hourly rate: 10.90
