Instructor, Educational Leadership and Postsecondary Education

           
A Renewable Term nine-month appointment with possibility for summer teaching is available starting August 2019. Responsibilities will include teaching educational leadership courses in principalship, superintendency and international teacher leader programs (with focus on principalship); advising students; supervising student internships; serving on and directing doctoral dissertation committees and student research papers; and collaborating on program curricula development. Educational Leadership faculty will conduct and participate in conferences, workshops, and seminars; work collaboratively within a program unit; and be professionally involved in the university, local, state, regional, and national level. This position will also coordinate the Principal preparation program, overseeing recruitment, orientation, and advisory council work.

Earned doctorate in educational leadership or related field required.
 
Demonstrated evidence of providing leadership, teacher evaluation, and professional development for teachers that supports student achievement; successful administrative experience in PK-12 schools that includes the principalship.
 
Experiences in public policy related to education and knowledge of ELCC standards for school and district level leadership; experience in urban and/or diverse settings to promote equity, social justice, diversity, and a global perspective and embed these concepts in the educational leadership program. Preference given to candidates with experiences teaching through various modes of distance education at the graduate level.
