Job Description
High School Diploma, GED, or Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Associates; assist students in classes; assist teachers in implementation of behavior plans; complete documentation as requested by classroom teacher; follow teacher and staff directions; supervision of students; serve as interventionist to help with student problem-solving and de-escalation.

CPI preferred; experience with children with special needs and behaviors; excellent attendance record; arriving on time to work; problem solving ability; ability to communicate effectively; prediction of student needs; basic academic skill; collaborate with other peers and students; positive demeanor; experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and students with diverse needs at the middle school level; flexible and responsive; knowledge of de-escalation techniques and how to employ those techniques to help students in crisis.
