Mayor Quentin Hart will deliver his speech Strong Ties – Strong Community on Friday, April 6, 11:00am at the Courtyard Marriott Waterloo -Cedar Falls on TechWorks Campus in downtown Waterloo. Presentations will recognize the power of collaboration, showcase important projects, city awards, and preview of what is to come in the near future! Special recognition of Waterloo’s 150th Anniversary of Incorporation & 100th Anniversary of the patent of the clip-on bow tie—yet another Waterloo innovation! “Individuals, businesses, government, and organizations are pulling together to make projects happen and perpetuate Waterloo’s progress,” says Mayor Hart. “The State of the City is an opportunity to celebrate what we have accomplished by encouraging these relationships and working together in a spirit of optimism for the common good.” The Mayor also encourages attendees to wear a bow tie to the event in celebration of innovation and collaboration.
