Join us at the Luncheon of Light as we share our time with Chanel Miller and in support of the resilience of survivors. By attending you help survivors in your community get the support they need. We have secured artist and author, Chanel Miller, as our Keynote speaker. Chanel was once known as ‘Emily Doe’ before she became known publicly when she read her compelling and powerful victim impact statement ahead of Brock Turner’s sentencing in 2016. Her victim impact statement went viral, including a reading on the floor of Congress; it inspired changes in California law and the recall of the judge in the case. She went on to write a memoir, Know My Name and in the spring her new children’s book will be released. All funds go back to our 100% free and confidential services to survivors of sexual assault.
