With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the mental health needs of our community have never been greater. The Mental Health Center has seen significant increases in anxiety, depression, grief, loss and other mental health related symptoms and problems in our current patient population as well as those who are seeking services for the first time. Coupled with the severe shortage of mental health professionals, there is a critical need to expand access to mental health services in our community to meet these growing needs.
We need your help. Please help us mark the significance of mental health by recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month and by participating in our 3rd Annual Mental Health Awareness Breakfast. The event will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Bien VenU Event Center from 7:30 to 9 a.m. We have planned a morning full of information from our local emcees with keynote speaker, Susan Rolinger, who is a passionate, dynamic advocate for mental health from our community along with a story of recovery from an individual who has benefited from the services provided by the Mental Health Center. Breakfast will be served buffet style, and we promise to have you out the door by 9 a.m.
Thank you in advance for your help supporting our community members who struggle with mental illness.
